Similar to most existing houses, the interior was dark and brown, the circulation needed to be rectified and the clutter, that was added over the years, had to go.
An existing wooden floor was removed to create the double volume living space. All the wood from the laminated beams were re-used for furniture and the tong and groove floor planks were used for Northern and Western louvers. The louver elements are open and closable by means of a wrench.
